Last weekend was the official beginning of our 2016 Wedding Season and I couldn’t have imaged a more beautiful start than the intimate Outer Banks elopement between Nathan & Sarah at The Inn on Pamlico Sound. Their energetic love shines through the photographs and I was honored to document these moments for them so they can forever share them with their daughter, family and friends.
Last year I had a friend of our business ask about our services and if we shot smaller more intimate weddings and if we put forth our best effort with gear, lighting, equipment and more for 1 hour of photography coverage versus a larger wedding at 6 hours of coverage or more and my answer is always the same. No matter the size of the wedding or how long you’ve hired us, we approach every event the same way. We get to know our couples as much as possible before the wedding day, we strive on building a friendship with everyone we get the opportunity of working with because we believe that an authentic relationship and truly learning about what makes a couple unique and their personal wedding style is what helps create the photographs that are genuinely them. We are passionate about delivering the absolute best images to represent their love for each other and we do that for every wedding, of every capacity. My friend had said, “well, no need to stress it, it’s only an hour” and I remember saying, “an hour or 10 hours, this is still their wedding day and they will reflect back on these photographs for the rest of their lives.” He kind of looked at me with a blank stare…..and was like “yea…..very true.”
It’s not about the size, it’s about our clients. It’s about forming friendships, learning about their relationship and unique vision and helping capture the day as they see it. I love that I can look back on all the weddings or portrait sessions we have photographed and think about how many new friends we’ve gained and the family of Caroline Jarvis Photography and how much it’s grown. We are so proud of this trait about our business and we are confident our couples and families and friends feel this way about us because they express it through reviews, testimonials and sending touching notes in return. It means the world to hear this feedback and have the opportunity to deliver moments that they will cherish and reflect back on forever. So Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Tomlinson, we couldn’t be happier for you both and the beginning of this new chapter. We have been so eager to share more images with you and cannot wait for you to see them all.
We are so thankful.
