Hatteras Island doesn’t always surprise us with a night this magical, but when it does you best be ready! Like with a gorgeous Outer Banks Bride with an elegant horse along the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean….right? ☺️ Having been born and raised in Buxton, North Carolina part of the beautiful Outer Banks, I am very used to some of the best sunset views in the world. The best part about it all though, is never taking it for granted.
Everyday I appreciate each sunrise, each cloud, each rain drop and each change that mother nature brings and viewing it in a grateful manner. I am so thankful for this evening on the beaches with Molly Smist and her Husband, Ben Smist. I couldn’t have imagined a better experience. From her breath-taking wedding gown, to their ever-lasting love, the low-tide movements, the golden sand reflecting the sunset, the horses demeanor, the warm air with a light breeze….I could continue forever.
It was a dream.
You have those moments in your life where you know, “this is going to be a moment to remember for a lifetime” and you take it all in and embrace and in my case, document it, all. Bridal Portraits don’t always have to be so traditional. They can be images that reflect your unique personality, your interest, your free-spirit and love for an adventure. That is what this session was all about. Creating photographs that reflect so many factors into one relationship. I would re-live this evening on the beaches of our island any day! I love my brides!
