Garlic Parmesan Crusted Sheepshead Recipe :) The best meal we’ve ever eaten!

Y’all.  This CRISPY and OH SO delicious parmesan crust will be your new favorite way to cook up a firm white fish!  Making this recipe with the Sheepshead was UNREAL!  Mack and I both agreed that it could possibly be the best meal we’ve ever eaten.  Gone are the days of under-seasoned or boring fish recipes….you’ve got to try this recipe!

One of the greatest rewards to me about fishing is being able to cook what you catch! It feel so authentic to me that we are able to go out and target a species of fish, catch it, clean it, cook it, and eat it. Makes ya appreciate life 🙂 At least for me it does! Fishing to me is a lot more than just actually catching a fish….It’s the entire experience!  We get to be outside in nature, be with our dogs, make memories, catch fish, create new recipes, and fuel our body with the most fresh seafood and it just feels right!  I love it!

Spring is right around the corner and it’s making me so eager and excited for warmer weather, longer days, and lots and lots of fishing and of course more delicious seafood recipes to come!

Cooking Instructions

I know some recipes might seem intimidating at first when you glance at the ingredients list but I promise…this is simple after you catch or buy your local caught firm white fish….hopefully a sheepshead fish but any firm white fish will be delicious!

First, turn your oven on to 400 degrees and then prepare your parmesan crumble.  For the parmesan crumble…add all the ingredients below and combine it really well together.  Next, you’ll need to put your sheepshead fillets onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and add your mayo (I used a brush to evenly spread it on there) and then your salt, pepper and garlic powder.  Then, you’ll be ready to add your parmesan crumble on top of your mayo topped fish but I wouldn’t add the crumble until you are ready to put your fish in the oven!

We baked our fish for about 12-15 minutes and then turned on the BROIL for about 1 minute or so to really crisp up the parmesan crumble!  We had pretty thick fillets of sheepshead so just remember that the thiner or thicker your fillet of fish determines how long to bake them in the oven.

We served our Garlic Parmesan Crusted Sheepshead with jasmine rice, beans, and some fresh vegetables!  I also sprinkled some green onions and red pepper on top to add that crunchy and fresh flavor to the dish!  It was SO DELICIOUS YALL!  It’s seriously been one of the best recipes that not only we’ve ever made at home but one of the best we’ve ever eaten in our lives! Sooooooo yummmmmy 🙂 🙂 🙂

If you make this recipe or simply get inspired to go out in nature, fish, cook or anything at all…please share that with me! 🙂  You can tag me on instagram or Facebook and let me know!  I absolutely love seeing yalls photos or comments 🙂 Cheers!
