Living life, in Hatteras style.

There isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t think about how thankful I am to be living in Hatteras near my family. Being able to pop in Dillonscorner everyday and see my dad, spend time with my mom throughout the week, and see my sisters and the kids so much is priceless. Oh yea, and my parents puppy Frisco 🙂 Buxton’s best buddy…….and mine too 🙂  From our beach adventures, to playing all the sports in the yard, learning new things, and just living life with so many happy memories is the best feeling. Having photographs throughout all of these moments shared is something that I will hold dear to my heart forever. Looking back and reminiscing is something I tend to do a lot and I think it keeps you thankful and appreciative everyday.

Having a solid rock of your family and true friends that are always there for real support, encouragement, laughter, great memories, and love is untouchable. I am so so thankful.  There isn’t any other way I would want to live my life other than the hatteras style way.  Our small island and simplistic lifestyle with lots of beautiful beach spots, local fisherman, great surf, mom and pop shops, a great community and tight knit friends and family is my kinda life.

A few days ago I wanted to have some fun with a new off camera flash set up I will be using this year and so I went over to my parents house and set up right on the concrete outside the house. The kids were outside playing basketball and riding bikes so I got them to model for a few minutes 🙂 They are the best little models and helpers. I love these moments.
