Now, listen…I get it. It can sound a bit cliché when a wedding photographer says that they build everlasting friendships with their clients….but I’m here to tell you, it’s true. You wouldn’t ever imagine, (unless you’ve already been married), how much actual planning and preparation can go into your wedding day, big or small. It takes A LOT of work and many different vendors to work hand in hand to create the very best day for the couple, friends and the family. But what vendor do you envision is with the couple the most throughout the process and the wedding day………? Yep, that’s right, the wedding photographers.
We are with them from the very beginning of the process to the end. From the moment we are booked to the day we deliver your images. We are there for getting ready, the first look, the ceremony, family portraits, bridal party portraits, reception and more. We are also one of the only vendors whose work has “just begun” once the wedding day is officially come to an end. The pictures need to be uploaded, backed up multiple times, culled, edited, fine tune edited, blogged, sneak peek on facebook, made into an online, password protected gallery, create their custom wood USB drive, send images to clients, create wedding album (if purchased) and MORE. You would never imagine how much time and energy goes into one wedding day. You truly have to have a strong passion to document one of the most special days in someone’s life. You have to be dedicated and creative into making their images speak without words to tell their unique story and wedding day.
I take great pride into this entire process and getting to know my couples. It comes from this relationship we build that help me create the best images. I love it. I love all of it. My heart is overjoyed every time I get the privilege to deliver a wedding collection of images to, in a sense, re-live your wedding day and every moment over and over again.
This leads me to tell you all about Mr. & Mrs. Bicknell. A truly loving, beautiful, hilarious, caring, and passionate couple. We had the privilege this year of documenting their rehearsal dinner and entire wedding day. I have to say, this wedding was one for the books. From their creative wedding program, to their enticing ceremony style, to their irish kilt wearing officiant, to groomsmen photos, to the BLOODY-MARRY-ME Bar ! :), their costume derived reception entrances, pictured M&M’S, cake smashing into their MOH and best man’s face instead of each others, to the last minute weather changes, the duck donut bridal party pictures, and so so much more. It was a day filled with so much joy from every single person that surrounded Mr. & Mrs. Bicknell.
I truly love these two and all of their friends and family. We felt so at home and welcomed throughout the entire day and were asked multiple times to stay and enjoy the rest of the evening with them after our “job” was over…but we all know I have a fur baby to get home too 🙂 but we knew we would see them again on their next trip to the OBX. We love you Kim and Keven and everyone we got the privilege to meet. We thank you for allowing us to capture all of the special moments throughout your wedding weekend.
Cheers to love and happiness
